Rep. Rick Crawford, a freshman Republican from Arkansas, has drafted a letter calling on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to resign, citing what he calls Reid's "reckless, partisan strategy of shutting down the government."

"With all due respect, if you do not plan to fulfill your responsibilities as Senate Majority Leader, perhaps it is time to step aside," Crawford writes in the letter.

House Republicans are engaged in a budget battle with Senate Democrats as a government shutdown looms Friday if the two sides can't come together on a long-term spending plan or another continuing resolution to keep the federal government operating."

Where is the Outrage?

We are witnessing protesters in Wisconsin and Indiana with signs and outrage for changes in their states collective bargaining. Senators of these states are AWOL, they have fled their jobs and are in hiding to circumvent any voting on legislation that would address their states and the unions.

Federal Employees do not have the union collective bargaining privileges of those in a state like Wisconsin. The facts are clear that in 1978 Democratic President Jimmy Carter, backed by his Democratic Congress, passed the Civil Service Reform Act. This was applauded by President Carter as a campaign promise to give "muscle" to ensure the "public's work gets done" when he pushed the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 into Law on October 13, 1978. So, Federal Employees lost their collective bargaining rights through the Democrats for "excellence and accountability"?

Where is the outrage for President Jimmy Carter and his Democrat Congress removing the collective bargaining rights and the union access?

There were schools that were closed in Wisconsin when Teachers called en-mass for a "sick out" or work stoppage to protest for their Union.

Many parents were now faced with an emergency of what they were going to do, their child was to be in school and was not sick, the parent could not get a sick note to be away from their employment to care for their child.

Who is responsible for the loss of wages or loss of employment of the parents who had the emergency of those teachers who called in "sick" to protest for their Union.

Will there be any law suits if some of these parents lost their jobs or their children were compromised for the irresponsible actions of the fraud "sick out"?

Who would be responsible if any of these parents who were inconvenienced or may have lost wages or maybe a job due to the teachers who closed schools in Wisconsin?

These teachers in Wisconsin cannot strike, it is against the law.

They just called in "sick" and closed the schools.

How many children were left to fend for themselves, or parents, or single Moms who did not have any options but to lose wages or possibly a new job for these teachers who fraudulently called in sick and closed their schools to protest for their Union?

There are many Teachers who are breaking their Teacher contract by not showing up for work (closing some schools) and using fraudulent doctors notes which states they are sick. It is in their Contract they cannot fraudulently claim to be sick to be available to protest in the streets.

There were several licensed doctors and other nursing staff in the midst of the screaming protestors who helped develop ailment excuses and fraudulent doctors notes so these State employees can be paid sick leave while they protest for their Union.

What do you think; should these State employees be paid with Tax Dollars under fraudulent sick notes while they scream and waive furiously in a Union Protest?

I think it is an abuse of Tax Dollars and their should be an Investigation into the State employees who are being paid under false documentation, they are obviously not sick as they are screaming, some waiving scandalous Vitriol and running with no physical impairments.

I recall a case where an employee claimed to be ill and receiving Worker's Compensation Benefits until they posted a picture of themselves on a Social Network showing themselves in a nightclub dancing lively and drinking. This person was then denied benefits and brought up on charges for fraud.

Is this Right, these Teachers are expecting to be paid for sick leave while they are yukking it up for the media to protest for their Union?

Is it fraud of Tax Dollars and their Teacher contract to not work and receive sick pay while they protest for their Union benefits?

President Obama has appointed Chairman Jeffrey Imman to be the Economic advisor. He has a full time job as Chairman of GE. The US had secretly Bailed Out GE, it is the most commonly held stock by members of Congress?

President Obama officially appointed Chairman Immelt to the position while he toured a GE plant in Schenectady, New York. Immelt will head the new President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which Obama has signed into creation during the tour.

Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO and chairman of General Electric, is named as chair of the new economic recovery board, according to the White House.

President Obama said his "experience at GE and his understanding of the vital role the private sector plays in creating jobs and making America competitive makes him up to the challenge of leading this new Council."

The new board will replace the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board that was created in 2009 and is set to shut down on Feb. 6, 2011. It will "focus on finding new ways to promote growth by investing in American business to encourage hiring, to educate and train our workers to compete globally, and to attract the best jobs and businesses to the United States."

I am from a large family. One of my female family members were tragically murdered while she was trying to make a living to raise her five children. She had been strangled, bludgeoned with a Sport Trophy and then her throat was cut.

The shooting of a Congresswoman and those others by the madman shooter in Arizona brought the senseless loss of life by a madman back like a flash, this madman was someone who did not care about another human being or the sacredness of their life. Our family, like the Arizona victim's family will never be the same.

Murder is murder, for those of us survivors of the victims of a senseless taking of a life.

The man did not come to justice for many years who commited the heinous act against our loved one. The police never stopped pursuing the murderer and even those who had retired never for our family member or her death. It took many years and their persistence finally put the killer in jail.

The laws of our land is that as an American you are innocent until "proven" guilty. We were told that to bring this case to court they would have to follow the laws of evidence and this murderer has rights. We understood and finally Justice was served, the man who took a life was in jail and off the streets.

The Sheriff of that county may have been an elected official but he was there to protect and to serve no matter what political party you may be supported by.

I have held an office and been an elected official. I have never known any Sheriff who used political rants in a review of a murder scene, let alone when he did not know the name of the shooter.

To use a tragedy of loss of life for political rants does not serve justice or those survivors or victims. We now know the shooter was thrown out of his Pima Arizona College for his scary and threatening behavior. We now know he had an obsession with Congresswoman Giffords and kept a letter from her in 2007, many years prior to the Tea Party or before Sarah Palin came upon the national political scene as a Vice Presidential Candidate in 2008. We know he has a video calling his college a "Genocide" in America. We now know he had said the students there were "tortured" and they "illiterate". His friend stated he never watched the news, he did not listen to talk radio and he was registered as an "Independent" and did not even Vote. Laughner had girl students go to the school and asked them to remove him. He also had a site which displayed his favorite books to be Hitler's "Mein Kamph" and also the book "The Communist Manifesto". The shooter also did not want the words "In God We Trust" printed on US money. The shooter had a shrine with a "skull" in his back yard. These books and his choice of literature is certainly not consistent with the members of the Tea Party or those on the Right.

Should political opinions be used without substantiation in our legal investigations and reporting to the Press?

Jeff Fuller, a victim of the shooter in Arizona has taken a picture of a member of the Tea Party in a public forum and said "You're Dead". Fuller is known as a "Liberal" and he has been arrested for his threat.

This incident of a Representative in Congress who was shot with others in Arizona has brought forward the argument that those who publicly promote Vitriol remarks; our former President Bush has been the target for years of hate speech.

"The first question I have for President Obama is if he still stands by his call for tort reform or was he just lying to Congress when he directed [Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen] Sebelius to pursue an initiative addressing the costs of defensive medicine," Issa said in a statement. "When HHS is telling me that malpractice reform is not a 'priority of this Administration,' I have to question the sincerity of the President's commitment to working with Congressional Republicans on a bipartisan basis."

"(CNSNews.com) - Top Democrats on the House Homeland Security Committee publicly scolded Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for failing to show up at a Wednesday hearing where the committee examined the attempted Christmas Day suicide bombing of Northwest Flight 253. One Democrat on the committee said he wanted to know "where the hell" Napolitano was.

That evening, Napolitiano did prominently show up at the Capitol to attend President Barack Obama's State of the Union address. But earlier in the day, she dispatched Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Jane Holl Lute to testify on her behalf in the Homeland Security Committee on what went wrong in the homeland-security process that allowed would-be suicide-bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board a plane bound from Amsterdam to the Detroit.

The committee has primary oversight over Napolitano's department, and top Democrats on the panel made it clear they were angry that she failed to show up for such an important hearing.

Appearing on CNN two days after the attempted Christmas Day suicide bombing, Napolitano had said: "And one thing I'd like to point out is that the system worked." Republican sources on the committee said they believe Napolitano did not show up today because she did not want to explain why she said those words.

Democrats openly expressed their dismay with Napolitano as the hearing proceeded. Rep. Chris Carney (D.-Pa.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Management, Investigations and Oversight, said during his question period: "I am very dismayed that the Secretary herself isn't here. I mean it's probably fair to ask: "Where the Hell is Secretary Napolitano?"

Rep. Jane Harman (D.-Calif.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Intelligence, said: "I would like to welcome our witnesses but comment on the absence of Secretary Napolitano. This is the committee with primary jurisdiction over the Department of Homeland Security. She is the secretary of Homeland Security. She is in Washington, D.C. She was invited to testify at this very important hearing, and she should have been here. … I am very personally disappointed that she isn't here."

Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson (D.-Miss.) rebuked Napolitano for a lack of courtesy in dealing with the committee. Thompson said during the hearing that he had spoken with Napolitano just two days before and that there had been no discussion of her not attending. He did not want his committee to be "misled," he said, added that the committee had first been told that Napolitano could not attend because she would be out of the country, then discovered that she was in fact in Washington, D.C. but would not attend anyway."

If House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's health care plan passes, 6 million seniors will lose access to Medicare benefits they now have, their health care will deteriorate, and many other Medicare recipients will also see a decline in care.

This is because 11 million seniors, or 22 percent of all Medicare beneficiaries, are enrolled in a Medicare health plan called Medicare Advantage. If the law were to remain unchanged, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office predicts 14 million seniors would enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan by 2019.

However, Ms. Pelosi's health care plan would slash access to Medicare Advantage to the point that in 10 years only 8 million seniors would be enrolled. According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, 24,286 seniors in my congressional district could lose their Medicare Advantage plans.

The Senate bill isn't any better. Douglas Elmendorf, director of the Congressional Budget Office, told Congress this week that the bill by Sen. Max Baucus of Montana would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years."

But that happy situation, aided by ultralow interest rates, may not last much longer.

Treasury officials now face a trifecta of headaches: a mountain of new debt, a balloon of short-term borrowings that come due in the months ahead, and interest rates that are sure to climb back to normal as soon as the Federal Reserve decides that the emergency has passed.

Even as Treasury officials are racing to lock in today's low rates by exchanging short-term borrowings for long-term bonds, the government faces a payment shock similar to those that sent legions of overstretched homeowners into default on their mortgages.

With the national debt now topping $12 trillion, the White House estimates that the government's tab for servicing the debt will exceed $700 billion a year in 2019, up from $202 billion this year, even if annual budget deficits shrink drastically. Other forecasters say the figure could be much higher.

In concrete terms, an additional $500 billion a year in interest expense would total more than the combined federal budgets this year for education, energy, homeland security and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The potential for rapidly escalating interest payouts is just one of the wrenching challenges facing the United States after decades of living beyond its means.

The surge in borrowing over the last year or two is widely judged to have been a necessary response to the financial crisis and the deep recession, and there is still a raging debate over how aggressively to bring down deficits over the next few years. But there is little doubt that the United States' long-term budget crisis is becoming too big to postpone.

Americans now have to climb out of two deep holes: as debt-loaded consumers, whose personal wealth sank along with housing and stock prices; and as taxpayers, whose government debt has almost doubled in the last two years alone, just as costs tied to benefits for retiring baby boomers are set to explode."

"He's going to work with the Senate and the House to try to ensure that at the end of the day the status quo is not changed."

I guess

I think it is significant that the Democrat Congressman David Obey wants true numbers and facts on the recovery.gov site as it is "undermining government creditability". I think it is truly worrisome the misinformation about jobs in Districts that do not even exist. I applaud this Congressman for speaking out for accountabiity and Truth. I think it is questionable on many levels that a government cite is so misleading to the American public; who is accountable for these numbers and multiple errors that mislead?

"Congressman Dave Obey wants pervasive errors in official stimulus data fixed. The Wausau Democrat says that the inaccuracies on recovery.gov are "stupid mistakes" that undermine the government's credibility.

The data shows the number of jobs created and how much stimulus funding each congressional district received. However the website also shows so-called "phantom congressional districts," districts that don't really exist, along with funding and job creation numbers.

In an Appropriations Committee statement Obey says, "The inaccuracies on recovery.gov that have come to light are outrageous and the Administration owes itself, the Congress, and every American a commitment to work night and day to correct the ludicrous mistakes."

Wisconsin has several phantom districts listed on the recovery website including the 55th, 14th, 9th, 00, 10th and 39th. The funds received vary from $1,240,000 to $91,091.

Obey also called on the Transparency Board, which oversees the recovery act web site and data, to fix it. "Whether the numbers are good news or bad news, I want the honest numbers and I want them now," Obey said."

There is a Right, it is called Freedom of Religion. The Catholic Church has been in existence for over two thousand years; Christianity. Our Country allows a Tax Exempt Status for Churches. The Bishops are not Politicians, they are the Shepherds of the Church, and they are to speak of what is morally Right or Wrong, to make the assertion that this makes these Bishops of the Catholic Church Politicians is absurd. Jesus was very outspoken of the moral issues of his day, Jesus was not a Politician nor did he run for office.
This Congresswoman has asked for the Catholic Church to be Investigated for speaking out against Abortion and the Bishops Evangelizing that the Church teaches that Abortion is morally wrong.
I think the Ethics Committee should Investigate this Congresswoman and her Pro Abortion stand and attacking the Catholic Church for the misinformation of some very public Pro Abortion Catholics.

Public speakers like Nancy Pelosi ARE politicians and should not speak for the Church.
Nelson Mandella was a man of the cloth and he entered the Political realm. He would no longer have the Tax Exempt Status, no Catholic Bishop has put their hat in for political office. They have the Right to Evangelize and Stop misinformation of the Pro Abortion uninformed Catholics.
For Pro Abortion Woolsey to misconstrue the Bishops concern for not clarifying that Abortion is morally wrong, and purport that they are Politicians is absurd.
I think this assertion of Congresswoman Woolsey should be investigated, there are many who are not Catholic, that do not want Abortion being paid for by our Tax Dollars.These reasons are varied, and they are personal, political and fiscally motivated.

JCT Confirms Failure to Comply with Democrats' Mandate Can Lead to 5 Years in Jail

Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain "acceptable health insurance coverage" and who choose not to pay the bill's new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.

In response to the JCT letter, Camp said: "This is the ultimate example of the Democrats' command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail. It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately."

Key excerpts from the JCT letter appear below:

"H.R. 3962 provides that an individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional tax." [page 1]

"Criminal penalties

• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years." [page 3]

When confronted with this same issue during its consideration of a similar individual mandate tax, the Senate Finance Committee worked on a bipartisan basis to include language in its bill that shielded Americans from civil and criminal penalties. The Pelosi bill, however, contains no similar language protecting American citizens from civil and criminal tax penalties that could include a $250,000 fine and five years in jail.

"The Senate Finance Committee had the good sense to eliminate the extreme penalty of incarceration. Speaker Pelosi's decision to leave in the jail time provision is a threat to every family who cannot afford the $15,000 premium her plan creates. Fortunately, Republicans have an alternative that will lower health insurance costs without raising taxes or cutting Medicare," said Camp.

According to the Congressional Budget Office the lowest cost family non-group plan under the Speaker's bill would cost $15,000 in 2016."

I listened to the soft articulate voice of the FORMER Director of Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas. Abby Johnson described the day she quit her job
Abby was asked by radio interviewer Teresa Tomeo what had happened that made her quit her job as Director of the Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic in Texas; Abby said she was assisting with the ultrasound and held the probe to monitor the womb during an Abortion, she said she saw the baby and it had reminded her of the pictures of her child when she was pregnant and her daughter's ultrasound. The former Director then said she saw the Abortion device enter the womb on the ultrasound and watched as the baby pushed away to get away from the suction device, she then said that she watched as the baby "crumbled" into the suction tube and she dropped the probe. Abby then picked up the device and put it back on the stomach of the mother and knew then she could no longer work as Director of the Abortion Provider, Planned Parenthood. Mrs. Johnson said she told the staff that she had to quit. Abby had seen the Pro Life prayer group outside the clinic over the years, and she knew they would embrace her with open arms.
I think this poignant story of the facts of a former Abortion provider Director of Planned Parenthood and what truly happens to a baby "pushing" away from the suction tube is significant.
Abby had seen and spoke with those outside over the years, she knew they would help her and they were telling the truth.

There are many attorney's throughout our governing system, I would have hoped they did not miss the class on Contract Law and the Fundamentals for all attorneys who Represent.

I think that her statement must be truly ignorant; AND if this is indicative of her comprehension of what is going on in our Country we need to remove her from her as she is ignorant of the facts. This is the video of President Obama stating that the Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) an "outstanding" member of Congress at a fundraiser Monday night. Grayson recently called a Fed aide a "K Street whore."

Where is the outrage! This is a personal nasty remark, this is the man who said that Republicans want old people to "die quickly" and would not retract his statement.
I cannot understand the feminists and their organizations not putting this man to task for his unprofessional and inflammatory speech, this remark calling a Female Federal Aide a "K Street Whore" surely is a wake up call to where this Congressman's opinions are on women.
Obama complimenting this Congressman is questionable, I do know why he was not censured; how could the President compliment him as "Outstanding" when he has shown himself to be very base.

PAUOA VALLEY (KHNL) - A historic moment for Hawaii gets international attention. Blessed Damien of Moloka'i, who helped those afflicted with leprosy in Kalaupapa in the 1800s, will be canonized Sunday morning in Rome, Italy, making him a saint.

And locally, many Catholics in Hawaii are taking part in this important occasion. This is one of the most significant moments for Catholics in Hawaii. Many gathered at the Blessed Sacrament Church, and they're following Father Damien's example.

It's that unmistakable sound of a weekend barbecue, and these folks are going all out.

"We got barbecued steak, and this is Samoan sausage," said Diana Leuta, who was helping with the cooking.

They also have Kalua pig, and chicken with long rice.

Good food and good music put a big smile on these churchgoers' faces. They're here for a charity event at Blessed Sacrament Church in Pauoa Valley.

"Words cannot express it," said Leuta. "It's so wonderful."

But this is more than a fundraiser. It's a major event honoring Father Damien.

He was a Catholic priest who arrived in Hawaii in the mid 1800s. He went to a settlement colony of Kalaupapa on the island of Moloka'i to help those afflicted with leprosy.

"He was a man who gave his life to serve god and his people," said Elizabeth Lum, a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. "He wasn't thinking about himself; he was thinking about people."

He is also credited with performing two miracles: one in France, and another right here in Hawaii. Audrey Toguchi had terminal cancer. She says after she prayed at Father Damien's gravesite, her cancer completely disappeared.

"I just love Father Damien and what he did," said Jessica Agustin, a Catholic.

That's why the Vatican elevated him to sainthood, canonizing him this weekend.

"And for Hawaii, it's special because in all of our lifetime we've never had a saint from Hawaii," said Bernard Ho, president of Damien Memorial School.

These church members are following Father Damien's example. All the proceeds from the sale of food and clothing - every last penny - will be donated to the needy on Moloka'i.

And this message of charity lives in the hearts of even the youngest church members.

"No matter what kind of people they are, it shows me that you have to help others when they're in need because we're all brothers and sisters," said Agustin, who is 17-years-old. "We're all like family, and it makes me excited to help people and that's what inspired me to do."

Continuing to inspire here in Hawaii and throughout the world more than a century after his passing.

Around Oahu, the canonization of Father Damien has Hawaii's political leaders talking about the impact this one man had on the islands and the world.

"I felt very emotional this whole lead up to Father Damien's canonization because of the 10 years that I lived on Moloka'i," said Gov. Linda Lingle, R-Hawaii. "I spent quite a fair amount of time on Kalaupapa and for anyone who's never been there, you can't appreciate how almost other-wordly it fells down there."

Meanwhile, Honolulu mayor Mufi Hannemann issued a statement saying, "Father Damien has long stood as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and devotion to the people of the Hawaiian islands. The people of Hawaii join our brothers and sisters around the world in prayer and in celebrating the life and sainthood of a remarkable man."

Father Damien's canonization will take place in Rome beginning at ten Saturday night, Hawaii time. There's a twelve hour difference, so it'll be ten in the morning Sunday in Italy."

The pro-life movement is all about freedom. That's why Priests for Life, with the leadership of our Pastoral Associate Dr. Alveda King, is launching "Freedom Rides" for the unborn to galvanize pro-life activity across the country.

During the Civil Rights movement, the "Freedom Rides" constituted a distinctive moment of resolve and unity. The Supreme Court, in its 1960 decision Boynton vs. Virginia, had outlawed segregation in bus terminals and restaurants serving interstate travelers. So the following spring, thirteen people - seven African-Americans and six whites - decided to travel by bus from Washington DC to New Orleans to test the enforcement of that Supreme Court decision.

Along the way, particularly in Alabama, they encountered opposition and violence from those who did not want desegregation. But having been brutally attacked, and some lying with wounds in hospital beds, the "Freedom Riders" vowed that the journey would continue. That's when others joined in, and the initial Freedom Ride became 60 rides across Southern states in the summer of 1961, with some 450 riders participating. And by the fall of that same year, the government issued orders for the enforcement of desegregation at the bus terminals.

The Civil Rights movement and the Pro-Life movement have the same heart and soul: a longing for equal justice for everyone, based on the inherent dignity of every human life. That's why, when Dr. Alveda King first walked with me at the annual March for Life and I asked her, "Does this remind you of the marches in the civil rights movement?" she declared, "Fr. Frank, this is the civil rights movement!" Both movements are movements of freedom.

It is therefore time for Freedom Rides for the unborn. The pro-life movement is more ready than ever to proclaim freedom…

Freedom from the lies and the deceit that allow abortion to continue…
Freedom from the fear of speaking up and taking action for the unborn…
Freedom from the shame and guilt of past involvement in abortion, so that those called to speak up and share their testimonies may do so as people who are "Silent No More"…
Freedom from the political oppression that tramples on human rights and denies equality before the law…
Freedom from violence and death itself.

People will be invited to participate in the Freedom Rides themselves. The bus rides are a symbol of the journey we are on, of the fellowship we share with each other, and of the fact that we are a movement. Major events in cities along the bus routes will be held, in which all the different facets of the pro-life movement will be invited to participate.

At the same time, people not on the rides or along the route can participate by being "Freedom Riders for the Unborn" and carrying out special projects that will be coordinated among Freedom Riders nationwide.

In his first public sermon, Jesus summarized his message and mission by saying he had come to "proclaim liberty to the captives…" As his disciples, as his People of Life, let us do the same!

The cuts apply to the 25 highest paid executives at the seven companies that received the most assistance, the person said Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the decision has not been announced. Smaller companies and those that have repaid the bailout money, including Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co., are not affected.

Kenneth Feinberg, the special master at Treasury appointed to handle compensation issues as part of the government's $700 billion financial bailout package, is making the pay decisions.

The seven companies are Bank of America Corp., American International Group Inc., Citigroup Inc., General Motors, GMAC, Chrysler and Chrysler Financial.

It was unclear exactly how much the executives would be allowed to make, or how that would be determined. Each case is being handled individually, and no details were available on how the calculations were being made."

"In Hamer's final undercover sting, in 2005, the bureau targeted the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), an organization that advocates sex with children.

For most of that career, he posed as tough guys, gentlemen thugs. Transforming into a homosexual pedophile wasn't easy. Hamer found the group's appetites repulsive and worried about blending in.

"When I first started posing as a boy lover, I thought I looked too much like a cop. I was a little too macho," he says. "I thought, 'What am I going to do to throw them off?' It was almost like the heavens opened up
and said, 'Handicapped.' And that's what I did."

Hamer went to the Salvation Army, bought a cane for $5 and hobbled his way to eight convictions. Over three years, Hamer became part of the association's inner circle, eventually helping to facilitate a boat trip
to Mexico for men to have sex with boys.

Prosecutors said that David Mayer, a Chicago flight attendant and psychologist, suggested the trip to Mexico at a NAMBLA convention in 2004. On a surveillance tape, Mayer said he kept his job as a flight
attendant so he could travel overseas to places where underage sex for hire was commonplace.

In February 2005, the FBI arrested Mayer and two colleagues on a San Diego dock for alleged interstate travel for the purpose of illicit sex. To keep his cover, Hamer pretended to faint when his fellow agents

I guess there is no sense of humor in the Obama Administration.

I have seen many articles posted about President Obama, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey going to Denmark to campaign for the Chicago bid against Rio for the Olympics.
I read articles telling Obama that it was "risky" due to our Foreign and Economic crises.
I now see multiple articles exclaiming that somehow the Conservatives (And others) should not hold accountabillity for the failed mission of President Obama, Michelle Obama, and Oprah.
I guess I question the logic in this.
When will the Obama Administration have accountability, it is ten months into his first year.

I think it is significant that Germany and other countries in Europe are now moving to the Right and the conservative view, less regulatory government.
Germany had a Marxist dictatorship, they literally have been there, and done that, they know what that political mire is about and what horror is brought to humanity.

President Obama has mentioned to make note of who is "surrounding" him and who has his ear.
He has now over 30 Czars, or White House Cabinet members who are accountable to only him.
We have no government job description for their titles, we do not know what "powers" they have; nor do we know who monitors their behavior.
The President has chosen these men and women to assist him, we know that their are those in this group who have Radical histories of drugs, communist, Nazi/Lenist associations and other questionable ideologies for some who is in a leadership position in the White House, AND who has the President's ear.
Are these Appointed Obama Czars a Benefit to President Obama as President and Commander in Chief, OR are these White House Cabinet members with their radical past and little acknowledgement of the accountability of the Federal Government and its check and balances a Liability to US?
I have witness over the top campaigning for the government proposed health care bill at the expense of all else, little to no media attention or information to US for our families in the Iraq and the Afghanistan wars. The one item I recall is President Obama say he is sending MORE troops to Afghanistan earlier and possibly more now. I recall Nancy Pelosi the Speaker of the House saying she was not for sending in the troops to Afghanistan this second time.
I think it is significant that there is such indecision in the White House and within the Obama/Pelosi constituency. I think that this is a deplorable situation and inexcusable.
President Obama's ear should have been to the line of communication as Commander in Chief, NOT Campaigner in Chief of the Viral Emails and lists of dissenters for a 2013 government health care.
Our troops needed AND still needs a Commander in Chief who has their back, I recall when the two soldiers were shot at their offices the father of one of the murdered young man said Obama never contacted him, AND yet he has beer and visits with a Professor who President Obama had no official interest, NOR did Obama have any information about, but publicly took this Professor's position and called the local police action "stupidly" without information. YET in the incident of the murdered soldier, The Commander in Chief, President Obama, still had not contact the father or the young man's family when he appeared on the news network. Is this reasonable?
Is this lack of accountability as Commander in Chief to our precious military forces because of inexperience and ignorance, OR is it because President Obama has surrounded himself with informants who are adequate for the job as adviser to the Commander in Chief OR President of the United States.

We know that Van Jones, the Green Czar resigned because of his highly suspect history of Radical ideologies,his self professed socialist Utopia and Marxist/Lenist views and signing a Document stating that President Bush was involved in the 9/11/2001 terrorist plot and massacre of 3,000.00 innocents.
Cass Sunstein, Regulatory Czar, has described himself as a communist. He has a "problem with Free Speech" and also has proposed writing a SECOND "Bill of Rights".
I do not have a problem with the fact we have free speech. For that matter, I really do not care for Cass Sunstein saying HE has a problem of Free Speech while he sits in our White House and what Regulatory powers does this man have? Where is his job description? How much does he make?
When you have a Federal Position (even the President) you have a job description and pay scale, where are these peoples job descriptions and what powers do they hold without the proper checks and balances?
I think that the questions we the people hold about the questionable people within our White House should be investigated.
Our Commander in Chief has taken little note of public interest in the military or our forces during his Presidency. When he should have made a Commander in Chief move to his soldiers and their families he was reprimanding a local police officer in deference to a Professor that he knew nothing about. Could this have been listening to Van Jones as he was one of the originators of STORM and was radical about police actions on people of color?
The Commander in Chief, President Obama did not support those who support US, our military, our soldiers, one of his own was down and he never called the family and this happened here in the US.
What are we to make of these inconsistencies with Obama's job description and the choices he has made.
The people Obama has CHOSEN to surround himself are not indicative of the interests of this Country, NOR the principles we the people hold to be self evident.

We are in a Economic Crises with the highest unemployment in 26 years.

August has been the deadliest month yet, where is the campaigning for our troops.
Our CIA are being investigated, there is reports of CIA employees quitting.

Today is the Feast Day of my friend Padre Pio.
Many of us have a conversion story, or as some say, a Born Again experience.

There are many reports of Padre Pio telling the sins to the penitent that were not told to him in the confessional. Could you imagine the fright of those who had tried to hide their sins, and Padre Pio knew them through infused knowledge?
I am one of the Spiritual children of St. Padre Pio. He is the Priest who had the Stigmata and many other miraculous gifts.
I "met" Padre Pio in California in a small Church in the Valley in California. Father Matin was the Parish Priest at this church and he and many others belonged to one of Padre Pio's prayer group.

What is good leadership?
I guess I would define good leadership is that you would be self sacrificing and put those who you represent First.
I think another crucial element for a good leader is knowing what is CRUCIAL, to determine the most important crises to address and take each one according to their severity and or the impact on the basic needs or life and limb so to speak.
I question whether we have a good leader, I do not think that the first two Fundamental elements of being a good leader are not being addressed by President Obama.
The first is to define and work on the most pressing or problematic area for those you lead, MOST people, ESPECIALLY those who lost their jobs, would say our ECONOMY is the First, and jobs. I do not know that the unread trillion dollar Stimulus created ANY jobs. Nor did Green Czar Van Jones create any green jobs, he could not maintain his own because he was not the Right man for the job.
The Second should be Obama should be a Commander in Chief of our military who ARE sacrificing life AND limb in the Two Wars, (Bush is no longer President, that is History) this is now Obamas' 2 Wars, he took the Oath. I cannot fathom not putting your total attention on this PRESENT DANGER to US and our Security for our troops and our Country.
Campaigning for 2013 government health care when the US Postal Service is going under is not good leadership.

From 2001 until he became Attorney General, Holder worked as an attorney at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.,[8] representing clients such as Merck and the National Football League.[3] He represented the NFL during its dog fighting investigation against Michael Vick.[21]

In 2004, Holder helped negotiate an agreement with the Justice Department for Chiquita Brands International in a case that involved Chiquita's payment of "protection money" to the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, a group on the U.S. government's list of terrorist organizations.[22][23] In the agreement, Chiquita's officials pleaded guilty and paid a fine of $25 million. Holder represented Chiquita in the civil action that grew out of this criminal case.[23]

In March 2004 Holder and Covington & Burling were hired by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to act as a special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board. The Gaming Board had voted 4-1 earlier that month to allow a casino to be built in Rosemont, Illinois. That vote defied the recommendation of the board's staff, which had raised concerns about alleged organized-crime links to the Rosemont casino's developer. The move had also raised concerns that the governor had named his close friend and fund-raiser, Christopher Kelly, as a "special government agent" to be involved in official state negotiations about the casino. Holder's legal work for the State of Illinois never materialized when the board reversed its decision and refused to hire Kelly. The investigation was subsequently canceled on May 18, 2004.[24]

While D.C. v. Heller was being heard by the Supreme Court in 2008, Holder joined the Reno-led amicus brief, which urged the Supreme Court to uphold Washington, D.C.'s handgun ban and said the position of the Department of Justice, from Franklin Roosevelt through Clinton, was that the Second Amendment does not protect an individual right to keep and bear arms for purposes unrelated to a State's operation of a well-regulated militia.[25] Holder said that overturning the 1976 law "opens the door to more people having more access to guns and putting guns on the streets."[26]

As if President Barack Obama's healthcare proposals were not flawed enough, CBS News reports a previously unnoticed provision of the bill that makes shambles of any privacy surrounding your federal tax returns. Under the House bill, the IRS is required to make available, to the new government "health choices commissioner" established by the legislation and to each state health program, all of your personal tax information.

In a blog, CBS News' Declan McCullagh reports that "Section 431(a) of the bill says that the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity information, including the filing status, the modified adjusted grow income, the number of dependents, and 'other information as is prescribed by' regulation' to the "new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs

I do not want Van Jones' reckless mouth and Marxist/Lenist STORM policies spreading anymore hysterical myths. Jones is irresponsible and a danger to US as a multiracial country. Jones is a danger because he speaks and acts radically, he should not be in government.
